DPM Care of East Tennessee Receives WOSB Certification
At DPM Care, we’re committed to setting ourselves apart from the crowd in every way, from the quality of our work to our great relationships with customers to our reputation. That’s why we’re especially excited to announce that DPM Care of Knoxville and Chattanooga has received the Women-Owned Small Business Certification from the Small Business Administration.
The WOSB Certification is available to small businesses that are at least 51% owned and controlled by women, and also have women managing the day-to-day operations. It involves a rigorous document review and interview process that took about a year to complete.
Not only does this certification help us attract new business, but it also directly benefits our clients. Plus, anyone who works with DPM Care of East Tennessee can feel extra security in knowing that we’ve been vetted and certified by the federal government.
Advantages of Working with a Woman-Owned Small Business
1. Federal Tax Incentives
Did you know that working with a certified woman-owned small business can actually save you money?
In an effort to promote diversity, the federal government offers tax incentives to companies who work with minority or women-owned businesses.
Additionally, projects that are funded with federal or state grants or loans have reduced tax liabilities when the supplier is a woman-owned business.
2. Quicker Turnaround Times
Small businesses don’t have to deal with the burdens of red tape and drawn-out processes that larger companies often face. And since certified small businesses are also closely vetted by the government, you can trust that they’re prepared to deliver the highest quality of customer service.
Working with a certified small business can provide quicker turnaround times, as well as greater agility and adaptability to improve your results.
3. Demonstrated Support for Diversity
Certified minority and women-owned businesses make up a rapidly growing sector of the economy, and consumers are paying attention to the diversity of the companies they choose to support. When you work with a woman-owned small business, you’re publicly demonstrating a commitment to diversity, while also furthering the economic growth of your own community.
Because of this, businesses who partner with woman-owned small businesses are more attractive to corporations seeking second-tier sourcing suppliers. Plus, partnering with a certified business lends greater credibility to your own company, as well.
Continued Growth and Commitment to Customer Care
Our team at DPM Care is thrilled to be recognized by the government with this certification, and we’re excited for the new opportunities it will present both us and our clients in East Tennessee.
As a woman-owned small business, we can compete for government contracts, 5 percent of which are to be awarded to certified small businesses. We’re confident this growth will provide us with new opportunities to invest in our local communities, and we’re excited to continue delivering great customer care to all of our existing clients.
